Kisos is an NYC based artist who likes to cry.
Originally from the Bay Area, California, he moved to NYC after realizing music was the only career worth pursuing. He quickly got into the industry as a music publicist, but just as soon left the firm to start his own. In early 2017 he founded Miller Place, with the goal of amplifying LGBTQIA+ & BIPOC creators.
He was simultaneously working on his debut EP, Voices, which released in 2018. Since then his music has been featured in Billboard, Spotify editorial playlists, and other tastemaker blogs. He’s also one of the 1% most popular live-streamers on Twitch (twitch.tv/itskisos) thanks to QUEERANTINE, a weekly LGBTQIA+ music video showcase. The show was invited to be a part of multiple Pride festivals and raised over $6000 for Black Lives Matter associated causes in June 2020.
Kisos recently released his sophomore EP, Sweet Nothings, where each track corresponds to a different stage of grief: bargaining, denial, anger, depression, and acceptance. It’s heartbreak at it’s most transparent, a capsule of Kisos in real-time as he tried to recover from the pain of a devastating breakup. The songs have 500k combined streams across all platforms.
